(Future Career and Community Leaders of America) Officers attended Youth Education Series classes through the Disney Education Program during the Thanksgiving break. Students attended the Discovering the American Spirit and Sustainable Practices in Wildlife Conservation.
While Discovering the American Spirit students journeyed into Liberty Square to get better aquainted with our country’s great leaders and understand the impact of their influence. Students were also able to learn about sharing our cultural values and traditions from one generation to the next, explore the major conflicts and resolutions of the 19th Century America as they studied the historically accurate presidential figures.
During the Sustainable Practices in Wildlife Conservation program, students discovered how people and animals are all connected and how each uniquely responds to environmental challenges. Students examined different perspectives on conservation and how these might impact decision-making. Students also practiced diversity in thinking through the exploration of environmental issues, while discovering that conservation involves many people with different beliefs, interests, and backgrounds.
