This training strengthened our understanding of the pre-referral process and effective IEP implementation as we continue working together to support every student’s success.

The Elba Career Academy is excited to share how proud we are of all of our SkillsUSA participants! We are especially proud to announce that Earl Tolentino who placed 1st and Mateo Jimenez who placed 2nd at the district competition will now advance to the State Competition in Birmingham. We would also like to recognize Ethan Danley. We are proud of his hard work, dedication, and commitment to representing The Elba Career Academy. Congratulations to these students for their outstanding achievements, and we wish them the best of luck as they represent The Elba Career Academy at the state level!

We ask that if you have any way to get your child to school by an alternate route in the morning please do so. Elba City Schools students and Coffee County students are gaining valuable, hands-on experience as they learn the Skid Steer – Skills For Success CRI at the Elba Career Academy. We appreciate Lurleen B. Wallace Community College for providing the instructors, equipment, and training, and the City of Elba for supplying the dirt. Partnerships like these help prepare our students for real-world careers.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Elba Fire Department and the Coffee County Sheriff’s Department, along with Keelie Moseley and Emmy Eldridge from the Elba High School Varsity Cheerleaders, for helping make this morning so special for our elementary students. Seeing Santa, the Grinch, and their helpers welcoming students to school brought lots of smiles and excitement. A special thank you to Ms. Alayna Cook for organizing and coordinating this wonderful event.
