Elba City Schools Notice of Early Dismissal Elba City Schools will dismiss at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, September 26, 2025 in order for our school family and community to come together in love and support for the funeral service of Emanuell Cooks, a member of the Elba High School Class of 2025. The service will be held in the Elba High School Auditorium Friday afternoon. Emanuell was a valued part of our Tiger family, and his loss is deeply felt by all who knew him. We extend our heartfelt prayers and sympathy to his family, classmates, and friends during this time of sorrow.

Purple Bus will be running late tomorrow, Tuesday, September 9 due to not having a driver to cover the route. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes. If you are able we ask that if your child rides purple bus to try and find another way of transportation for them in the morning. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience!

There has been an update to the date of the Title I Parent Meeting! It is now scheduled for September 9th!

Update about Blue bus for tomorrow.

The Alabama Association of School Boards Fall District 3 Meeting was held on Monday, August 25, in Ozark, Alabama. The Elba City School Board was the only board in District 3 to receive the Team Training Achievement Award.

In addition, several members were recognized for their individual accomplishments in board member training:

Johnny Senn and Debra Clark reached Level 4.

Miranda Russell achieved Master Level, 1st Year.

DeAnn Grantham achieved Master Level, 4th Year.

Congratulations to our dedicated board members on these outstanding achievements!

The Elba City School Board was recognized for their remarkable dedication in going above and beyond the Alabama School Board mandated Training requirements. Thank you for your commitment and allegiance to Elba City Schools

Mark your calendar!! ***School day pictures for Grades 7-11 will be on Thursday, August 21st!*** ANY SENIOR WHO MISSED SENIOR PORTRAIT DAY WILL ALSO HAVE THEIR PORTRAITS MADE ON AUGUST 21ST BEGINNING AT 8:00AM. Seniors: The sitting fee is $30 due at the time of the portraits. With the sitting fee you will get several shots to choose from and access to the proofs. IF YOU DO NOT PAY THE SITTING FEE you will have one photo taken for the yearbook. It is not required that you pay a sitting fee to have your photo taken for the yearbook. :)

Reminder for tonight: The 1st Annual Elba High School Cheer Expo begins at 7:00 Pm It’s $5 admission to get in. Concessions will be sold, including pizza, and proceeds will go to the football team. The little girl Scarlet and Gold cheer uniforms that were preordered in the spring have arrived, and can be picked up and paid for from Mrs. Madison Johnson tonight at expo. Elba blankets will be on sale for $35 as well— correct cash only for this item. Thank you all and see you tonight. Please come support our cheerleading squads!
